Gwen Stefani Announces her "Sweet Escape" Australian Tour!
Gwen Stefani Presents: The Sweet Escape Tour Australian Leg
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth
Details Below!
OMG! Gwen Stefani has just announced her first ever solo tour of Australia! With already shows sold out in USA and a new charity auction for an exclusive VIP experience, this tour is going to be hot! Although the American leg of the tour will include Akon and Lady Sovereign, Australia will receive "Gym Class Heroes" as the opening act before Gwen rocks us with songs from both "Love.Angels.Music.Baby" and "The Sweet Escape." She will be visiting Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets go on sale March 23rd at www.ticketek.com.au at 9am. Get your tickets! I know I will!
Rumours were flying around as early as last year that No Doubt would make a new record, but it's now pretty much been confirmed. Gwen Stefani has said that her latest album puts her on the 'yellow brick road' back to the sorta stuff No Doubt makes, and says that "The Sweet Escape" has sounds that No Doubt would record. But Adrian said on a post on the official No Doubt website that their next album won't neccesarily sound like TSE.
It's suggested that they will start getting together late this year due to Stefani's tour and album promotion and then start recording early next year. Fan's may have to wait a bit longer, but rather than wait you should soak up Stefani's solo efforts as TSE was the last solo album she is going to produce (at this point in time, anyway). Stefani is also said to be retiring within 5 years as she wants to become a full time 'mom.' Lets hope we see 2 or 3 more albums from her or the No Doubt team within that time.
EDIT: Congrats to the Fray! Their album reached #1 this week!
Unusual for this week... I tuned into the charts :o Reb... anyway. Before we get into the top 10 and such... we have a new layout! I never actually liked the one I had before (the iPod Robot) and I was digging the black one I had before and liked the dark colours... so I found another one. It's sorta weird, but it does ok. Hope you like it! Anyway...
This week in the charts (I only caught the top 10) we have a new top 10 entry! If you're a fan of "Good Charlotte" then keep reading! If you like "The Fray," "Nelly Furtado" or "Gwen Stefani" then you'll also be happy to hear that they have all made it into the top 10 as well. What's funny about Good Charlotte is that over in America they released a song called "The River" as their first single, while in Europe they released "Keep your hands off my girl" which is what the Aussies got as well. Anyway, on with the charts, movers and shakers and new entries!
#1 - Lips of an Angel // Hinder #2 - The Sweet Escape // Gwen Stefani #3 - How to save a life // The Fray #4 - This Ain't a Scene, it's an Arms Race // Fall Out Boy #5 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado #6 - Rock This Party // Bob Sinclair #7 - Keep your hands off my girl // Good Charlotte #8 - I wanna love you // Akon #9 - Put your hands up for detroit - Fredde Le Grand #10 - Hit me Up - Gia Farrell
It was a pretty average week, not many moves and not many shakes... hmm! But we did see a few shifts and I'm still hanging on with hope that Gwen's "Sweet Escape" will make it to number 1.
[In order of appearance in charts]
#7 - Keep Your Hands Off My Girl // Good Charlotte
This is one hot video! Xtina's 3rd single from her latest album is her best yet and even though the video premiered on TRL a while ago I just checked it out then and it's a great vid! You see Aguilera in blonde, brunette and red-head.. which one's your pick? Make sure you check out the vid! You'll love it!
It has been confirmed that trendsetter Gwen Stefani's 3rd single from TSE will be... "4 in the Morning!" This is one of the best songs on the album - up there with the ranks of The Sweet Escape, Wonderful Life, Don't Get it Twisted and Now That You Got it, but this one has a really soft beat and sound which match well with Gwen's vocals. This song will be probably be a big ballad, so get ready to hear it on your radio's. =)
For those of you that don't know, Beyonce has re-done her new album "B'day" and made some new tracks. One of those is "World Wide Woman" a mid to fast-tempo song that doesn't really tickle my fancy. It could tickle yours, though. You can grab the song by clicking the link below.
Over in the US these two 'so-hot-right-now' artists have collaborated for their new deoderant commercial. They've released a special song entitled "Winning Woman." It's not what you'd expect from the lead "PCD" singer nor from the urban sounds of "Rihanna," but it has an alrightish beat. The chorus is ok, but overall it's not my type of song.
Sorry for the delay, stupid charts didn't update until today! But anyway, this week has been pretty good.. especially for me as Gwen's new single debuted... AND OMG AND WHAT POSITION! Not #1, but I have a theory :) Anyway, over to the album charts we have Hinder's album at #1 along with yet another #1 single. Gah! The Fray's album is at #3, and Gwen's "The Sweet Escape" album has creeped up to #12, being the highest position ever so far! :D But now for the charts...
#1 - Lips of an Angel // Hinder #2 - The Sweet Escape // Gwen Stefani #3 - How to Save a Life // The Fray #4 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado #5 - This Ain't a Scene, it's an Arms Race // Fall Out Boy #6 - I wanna love you // Akon #7 - Rock This Party // Bob Sinclair #8 - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit // Fredde Le Grand #9 - Light Surrounding You // Evermore #10 - Hit Me Up // Gia Farrell
Chart debut & creeper at #2 - The Sweet Escape // Gwen Stefani Woop! A VERY good debut for Gwen Stefani, which also pushed her album up to #12! This song isn't going to drop (fingers crossed!) and hopefully creep to #1. Here's my theory. Lips of an Angel, pretty sure everyone is getting bored of it, it's been #1 for AGES! So, I'm thinking that The Sweet Escape will be the fresh cool new tune people will listen to and therefore be pushed up to #1, dragging Hinder down to number two and possibly push Akon's new one up to #3 or #4. :D Tehehe!
It's been starting to play on the radio, she's already given us some snippets from her new album and now we have the brand new video for "Girlfriend." ...BAHAHAHA. This is the funniest video clip ever. It's got attitude, it's got... just watch it. You won't be disapointed. :):)
*New* Kelly Clarkson - One Minute [LIVE, but GREAT Quality]
Rumours that "One Minute" will be Clarkson's new single, however there's still a while until her new album is released, so don't hold your breath. Anyway, this new song was performed at a show she did. And this is pretty much the sexiest song I've heard in a while! :) Make sure you download it!
I got my hands on some exclusive snippets from Avril's new album "The Best Damn Thing" which I keep telling you get released in April. The snippets are from the songs "I can do Better," "Everything Back But You" and "When You're Gone." I like all of them - but "Everything Back But You" would be my fav. Be warned though, the first few seconds I went "yuck, this is vomit!" - so it's a grower. But who am I to say? Check the snippets out for yourself!
Apologies for not posting a chart update last week, but hey - here's this weeks chart tracker, freshly updated with no new entries, no new #1's but a BIG jump for one of the bands in the top 10. We predicted it would make it to a maximum of #5, but it's leaped to #2. Who is it? Keep reading to find out!
#1 - Lips of an Angel // Hinder #2 - How to Save a Life // The Fray #3 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado #4 - This ain't a scene, it's an arms race // Fall Out Boy #5 - Smack That // Akon #6 - Lights Surrounding You // Evermore #7 - Rock this Party // Bob Sinclair #8 - Hit me Up // Gia Farrell #9 - Don't Give Up // Shannon Noll Feat. Nat B #10 - Put your hands up for Detroit // Fedde Le Grand
Chart creeper at #2 - How to Save a Life // The Fray We predicted it would make #5, then drop, but nup! Looks like "The Fray" have decided to ruin my plans and creep to #2 - and you can probably thank all those Grey's Anatomy ads for that. Not saying that the song isn't good, but I am saying with the premiere of season 3 tonight, we could actually see this song peak to #1 - actually, lets hope it does. Hinder is really starting to get on my tits!
Wobbler at #3 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado It creeped from the mid-20's to #2, now it's fallen to #3 while in the US of A, it rose to the highest of the high - #1. Why is it a wobbler, you say? Simple. The song is wobbling, going up and down, well, down, but still - there's still hope that this song can get back on track, I'm (personally) obsessed with it!
*New* Natasha Bedingfield - (I wanna have your) Babies
First of all a nice big thankyou to Kevipod Blog (link to your right) for posting this track, and secondly... well, Natasha's first single has been leaked! After listening to it, the beat is good, the lyrics are good, but I think it's a grower, I'm not exactly 110% impressed with this song. Lets hope it DOES grow on me... Or you? Download the link below and post a comment - tell us what you think!
How'd you like some Gwen Stefani? Justin Timberlake? New pop sensation Mika or even some Beyonce? Well move to the left and keep reading, bitches - because I'm back after a short delay (thanks to the wonders of school and homework) to bring you some sexual music news!
- Lets start with Gwen, shall we? Well there has been quite a lot of speculation as to what her third single from new album "The Sweet Escape" will be, but after the confusion, ballad "4 in the morning" has been chosen to rock the charts. Already being placed on an episode of Heroes where it can be heard in the background, it's probably going to be a big hit. But lets not get too excited, second single "The Sweet Escape" hasn't yet been released in Australa yet. It should be coming very soon, though...
- Good old future sex lovin' Justin Timberlake's new video for new single "What Goes Around... Comes Around" has recently premiered... being 10 minutes long. The first 30 seconds bored the hell outta me, so 'sif I'll be watching the whole thing (until the edited version debuts and I have no other choice but to sit through it while watching Channel V).
- Christina Aguilera, love her or hate her, has a new single! The upbeat and retro "Candyman" will be the third single, and it'll probably be a big hit for her. Well, lets hope so anyway, "Hurt" was cripe! You can catch the single cover below, and then the video later this month when it makes it's world premiere.
- Exciting news now from a new break-through artist by the name of "Mika." He's young, gay (although he doesn't like to talk about his sexuality to journalists. Regardless, he has a gay sound - think Scissor Sisters but better) and currently holding the #1 position in the UK with his single "Grace Kelly." His album "Life in Cartoon Motion" isn't yet out in Australia, but when it does be sure to pick up a copy - that means you Felicia & Ben - because this is some k-rad music. If you're not a fan of him, then maybe some other top 5 hits from the UK charts such as the Kaiser Chiefs "Ruby" or Just Jack's "Stars in their Eyez" will tickle your fancy. Check out the art work for Mika's masterpiece below.
News in a Paragraph...
Want some Natasha Beddingfield? I know you do. First single "(I wanna have your) Babies" is going to be released in April, along with her album (I think). Should be good. Beyonce is re-doing her album "Bday" and putting some new songs on there. And ew, she's doing a bloody duo with Shakira. That shit is whack. And, well... that's it! :)
The picture pretty much explains it :) Avril looks very sexy in this picture. Teehe. The video will premiere at the end of the month, which I can't wait for... Anddd even though I'm not sure yet, if the full album leaks, I will download it.. HOWEVER. I will only be doing that to create an "album sampler" to post on here - I WILL NOT POST THE FULL ALBUM IF IT IS LEAKED! I'm looking forward to this album myself. Girlfriend has really impressed me. :) But anyway... toodles princesses x']
Fergie's third single has made it's video debut just recently. It features the BEP member at a party in 1994, on a jet, going through a drive-through, on a movie scene and then when she was just a widdle gwirl.. aww! The video isn't what I thought it would be, sort of disapointing. However, I think it'll grow on me. What do you think? Check it out above!
The HQ version of Avril's upbeat, funky, pop-rock-like new single has leaked! It's called "Girlfriend" and if you loved the sort of music Avril has shown us before [like Sk8er Boi or Complicated], then get ready to here something slightly different. The rock princess is going for a slightly poppy-rocky sound. The song sorta reminds me of the cheer-leading hit "Hey Mickey." But, I won't be the judge, download the song below!
Lily's fourth single titled "Alfie" has just made it's video premiere! This is definately one of the best video clips I've seen in a while! It's so funny and not to mention Lily doesn't look too bad either ;) Fan of Lily's music or not, check out the video for some entertainment! :D Lets hope this song does well...
I was refreshing for ages, but finally the ARIA Charts for this week have been updated! Although there may not be that big of a change in the top 10, there are a few entries and we announce yet another succesful prediction in our movers and shakers section - so keep reading if you're a fan of The Fray!
#1 - Hinder // Lips of an Angel #2 - Nelly Furtado // Say it Right #3 - Evermore // Lights Surrounding You #4 - Akon // Smack That #5 - Shannon Noll Feat. Nat B // Don't Give Up #6 - The Fray // How to Save a Life #7 - Bob Sinclair // Rock This Party (Dance Everybody) #8 - Fergie // Fergalicious #9 - Beyonce // Irreplaceable #10 - Gia Farrell // Hit Me Up
As previously mentioned the top 10 hasn't changed, but we do have another successful prediction. Strike that, make that two. Keep reading for our further predictions and, well, to see what they are! {Those with [*] marked are successful predictions.}
[*] Chart creeper at #6 - The Fray // How to Save a Life I knew it! :) I predicted this song would get this far in the charts after a slightly moderate debut at #13, but it's quickly been creeping up into the top 10 and maybe if they're lucky, the top 5 next week. There's only one way to keep this song creeping - buy it!
[*] Chart dropper at #9 - Beyonce // Irreplaceable Sucked in Bee! Sorry, but your 15 seconds of fame is up! More like 13 weeks. Whatever, but this song will probably leave the charts next week. Although, because I said "sucked in Bee," it may creep up again. Hmm, I guess only time will tell. But hopefully it'll leave the charts - over this song anyway!
Re-entry at #29 - Augie March // One Crowded Hour
[From highest to lowest entry point]
#10 - Gia Farell // Hit me Up
#24 - Cassie // Long Way 2 Go
#46 - Muse // Starlight
Would finally like to congratulate Lily Allen for creeping up in the other charts over the past few weeks. It's all thanks to the BDO I guess. But yay for Lily! :D
EXPECTED THIS WEEK:
Fergie's new video, maybe even Justin Timberlake's and Christina Aguilera's. Maybe some more news from Avril Lavinge, but who knows... keep checking Museick! :D
*New* Avril Lavinge - The Best Damn Thing [Album Cover + Release Dates]
Avril fans will be happy to know that the official album cover has leaked - just look below! Want dates? Just remember it's U.S dates, so they might be a little different for Australia. The album is released on the 17th April. The first single is called "Girlfriend" and that's released on the 26th of Febuary, however that might leak sooner, so watch this space! :D Enjoy!
YES! FUCKIN AWESOME! One of my fav artists (guess who) has posted on her blog that "Alfie" will be her fourth single. Alfie is by far the best song on the album - it's a very catchy tune and it will remind you of a nursery rhyme. Anyway, she tells us she shot the video in Tokyo, and "Alfie" was played by a puppet. For those of you that don't know, Alfie is her brother. The song is about her being a lovely sister to him. Here's the chorus, but yes!! Good choice Lily :)
Chorus: "Oh, I only say it cause I care. So please, can you, stop pullin' my hair? Now now there's no need to swear, please don't despair my dear mon frere'"
Following their hits "Over my Head" and "How to Save a Life," the Fray's third single will be "Look After You." Although I haven't heard the song, the blog in which I read this said that this song is the best on the album. If you've heard it *cough*Fliss+Ben*cough* then leave a comment and tell me whatcha think ;) Or, download the song, listen and comment... ta-dah! [Credit to Wicked Rixhe Music Blog]
New stuff from the Killers as they announce their third single "Read my Mind." Bones didn't debut that high in the charts but as BDO is going on at the mo' I'm sure the single will creep a fair bit. After the hype and fuss of the BDO, it's going to be a murky future for the Killers - but we'll see how their third single goes when the time comes. You can download that song below. Enjoy! [Credit to Kevipod Blog]
It's been a huge week in the ARIA charts this week with 8 new entries! Including a.. :O #1 debut! Most of these are BDO artists..psshtt! (psshtt as in, it's just a scheme to make the singles more popular as BDO is on atm!) Before we get into it - a big congrats to Nelly Furtado who we've been tracking over the past few weeks. We expected her single "Say it Right" to reach upto #2 or #3, and this week our prediction has become reality. Here's this week's top 10 followed by the movers and shakers!
#1 - Hinder // Lips of an Angel #2 - Nelly Furtado // Say It Right #3 - Akon // Smack That #4 - Evermore // Lights Surrounding You #5 - Shannon Noll Feat. Nat B // Don't Give Up #6 - Beyonce // Irreplaceable #7 - Bob Sinclair // Rock This Party (Dance Everybody) #8 - Fergie // Fergalicious #9 - Justin Timberlake // My Love #10 - The Fray // How to Save a Life
The top 10 itself has really changed over the past week. Beyonce continues to fall pushing some other artists up - and with a whole heap of new entries which have been coming in recently, it might push those up into the top 10. Lets first have a look at the singles doing well and.. not so well.
Chart creeper at #2 - Nelly Furtado // Say It Right We've been tracking this for 3 weeks now, and after it's debut in the mid-20's, it creeped up into the top 10 and now into second place, where it could reach #1. With Nelly's high popularity, it might just do that - but you'll have to buy! I can see this being #1, but who knows. Watch this space!
Chart creeper at #10 - The Fray // How to Save a Life I told my friend Flissy that this would creep into the top 10, and it did ;) I'm so great. Anyway I predict this will reach #7 or at most #5, but I could be completely off. We'll keep tracking this single.
Chart dropper at #6 - Beyonce // Irreplaceable After a huge 3 weeks on top, Beyonce is rapidly slipping out of the top 10. In about two weeks Beyonce's name will be off the top 10 (maybe!) but don't worry as her new single will be released very soon!
Chart dropper at #13 - Gwen Stefani // Wind it Up Believe it or not, I'm happy that single is finally stepping out of the limelight. Her second single will be released VERY soon, and it's doing well already in the U.S so I predict the same for Australia. It's a very "summery" song. So yeah, Wind it Up is finally winding up it's time in the top 10 and dropping down - but it will probably remain in the top 20 for another week or two!
[From highest to lowest entry point]
#1 - Hinder // Lips of an Angel
#16 - Fall Out Boy // This Ain't a Scene, it's an Arms Race
#25 - The Killers // Bones
#31 - Panic! At the Disco // Lying is the most fun girls can have...
HSM star Ashley Tisdale will be releasing her debut album "Headstrong" in Febuary along with her first single "He Said She Said." The video is currently being made, so watch this space for updates. And just to clarify, Ashley's single "Be Good To Me" was her Disney single but her first "world-wide" single will be He Said She Said. For those that haven't heard that song, it's very funky, upbeat and I have to say I like it. :) For more on the album scroll down, there's a tracklisting somewhere. :O [Credit to Kevipod Blog]
This week saw a whole new heap of entries in the charts which threw some artists/bands up and down - another thing which made this a good week in the charts, alot of moving and shaking! As I said last time, "Lights Surrounding You" is Evermore's highest charting Aussie single EVER! Well this week it reached #1, good onya! Beyonce was knocked off, but she's still on the charts... here's the top 10 plus the movers and shakers.
#1 - Evermore // Lights Surrounding You #2 - Smack That // Akon #3 - Irreplacable // Beyonce #4 - Say It Right // Nelly Furtado #5 - Don't Give Up // Shannon Noll Feat. Nat B. #6 - Fergalicious // Fergie #7 - My Love // Justin Timberlake #8 - Rock This Party // Bob Sinclair #9 - Wind It Up // Gwen Stefani #10 - Too Little Too Late // Jo Jo
Well as you can see by looking at this week's chart and comparing it to last, Beyonce was knocked two spots to #3 and Timberlake also dropped. But remember, they both have new single's coming out soon so they might make it as high as Irreplacable and My Love. This week we had a whole lot of new entries, none debuting in the top 10 though! But as they are new singles, give them a few weeks and we'll see them creeping up the charts! ;) I'll be keeping track of what happens, so watch this space!
New Entry at #13 - How to Save a Life // The Fray
New Entry at #17 - Window in the Skies // U2
New Entry at #26 - Lithium // Evanescence
New Entry at #27 - Nobody Knows // Pink
New Entry at #49 - Rip it Up // Jet
New Entry at #50 - These Walls // Teddy Geiger
Chart Creeper at #4 - Say it Right // Nelly Furtado Yep, this is still creeping up the charts! I expect it to hit #3 or even #2 next week, which will probably be the case if Beyonce continues to fall! But who knows...
1. Thriller 2. The Take Over, The Breaks Over 3. This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race (first single) 4. I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You) 5. Hum Hallelujah 6. Golden 7. Thnks fr th Mmrs 8. Don't You Know Who I Think I Am 9. The (After) Life of the Party 10. The Carpal Tunnel of Love 11. Bang the Doldrums 12. Fame
The album was leaked, but many sites took the link down as over 1000 people downloaded the leaked album! Just buy the goddam CD!
Hello :D I just got back from QLD last night, it was awesome! Anyway, there's a whole heap of bloody news, so I'll get onto it. Excuse the laziness of me not posting links to the .mp3's, but you can click on the links on the right hand side bar and then browse through the blogs and find the songs you want.
- Well first of all Jewel's new single "Quest for Love" is from the new "Arthur" movie and can be downloaded at various blog sites (read above). What I'm confused about is that Madonna hasn't done the single for this movie, considering she's in the damn film!
- Nicole Scherzinger *sigh* Now what gets on my tits about this girl is that she's the only bloody singer in the PCD's, but now she's going solo and not to mention the PCD's are set to release another album this year, probably with this skinny little bitch singing the entire album. Sorry for the language, but I don't like this girl. Anyway, she has a new single called "I'll Be Your Love" but don't download it cause it's probably gay. <3
- Ooh, now on a lighter note I can tell you that Vanessa Carlton has a new single, well song anyway. It's called "Heroes and Thieves" which happens to be the name of her album. Spooky? um no. Anyway, it's leaked (HQ) so make sure you get a copy of it if you can. Just to let you know, she's going for an RnB/Hip Hop feel, so it won't be like 1000 miles. Eep!
- Robbie Williams is in a bit of a kurfuffle, someone is saying he wrote the song "She's Madonna" from his latest studio album Rudebox. Funnily enough, that's the third single! I like the song. It's very... I don't know. Catchy. Yay for Robbie, and yay for me winning his album on Nova 93.7. :)
- If you're a fan of Fall Out Boy, then you'll be pleased to know their album has leaked! Yep, leaked.. the full bloody thing. The post above will be a tracklisting - so check it out. I'm digging the art work for this album! It's called... just read above ;)
- Yay for Gwen Stefani! She'll be touring with Akon & Lady Sovereign, two artists that I do quite like! Well 3, because Gwen is sexy. Anyhoo, she's doin' a world tour... but no sign of a stop at Perth (yet alone Australia) but we can cross our fingers :O Omg... COME TO PERTH GWEN!
- Talking of Akon, his third single will be titled "Don't Matter."
- For Evanescene fans, their third single will be "All that I'm Living For" which is one my favs on the album, and on different forums, people have voted it the best song. Read two posts above to see how their new single did on the charts this week.
- Oooh, this is juicy! Beyonce was caught lying about writing her #1 world-wide smash hit, "Irreplaceable." She says she wrote it, but then RnB singer Ne-yo comes out saying he wrote it, then Beyonce admits to only writing a small portion of it. Uh oh! Maybe this will take an effect on her next single, or maybe even her upcoming movie "Dreamgirls" which gets released this Thurday. Oops!
- Kelly Clarkson was announced to be the #1 female of all time in America. Announced by Ryan Seacrest (host of American Idol) he said she has been in the charts for 111 weeks. Woah! She is working with Timbaland (think Nelly Furtado/Justin Timberlake) on her new album, but she will stay in the pop genre. It's already majorly anticipated, so you know it'll be good ;)
I WILLBE ON HOLIDAY FROM THE 15th OF JANUARY UNTIL THE 26th OF JANUARY 2007. PLEASE EMAIL ME IF YOU NEED ANYTHING! THE BLOG WILL BE INACTIVE UNTIL THEN. HAVE A GOOD ONE :D
*New* Sophie Ellis Bextor - My & My Imagination // *New* Sophie Ellis Bextor - Catch You [Video]
New stuff from another of my fav artists Sophie Ellis Bextor. Her new album "Trip the Light Fantastic" released later this year will have a first single called "Catch You" (check out the video premiere below!) and a possible release of a second single called "Me & My Imagination." If you wanna download this sexy new song, click below ;) If not, then be sure to check out the vid for Catch You! [Credit to Kevipod Blog]
This week was pretty much the same as last, Beyonce took out the #1 spot for the third week in a row, my sexylicious Gwen Stefani dropped a few spots, as did Shannon Noll & Nat, but Evermore has moved up to #2 making "Lights Surrounding You" their biggest charting single EVER! Woop! Here are the movers and shakers of the charts along with the top 10:
#1 - Beyonce // Irreplaceable #2 - Evermore // Lights Surrounding You #3 - Akon feat. Eminem // Smack That #4 - Fergie // Fergalicious #5 - Shannon Noll feat. Nat B // Don't Give Up #6 - Nelly Furtado // Say It Right #7 - Justin Timberlake // My Love #8 - Gwen Stefani // Wind It Up #9 - Bob Sinclair // Rock This Party (Dance Everybody) #10 - Scissor Sisters // I Don't Feel Like Dancing
This week saw no new entries! We had two re-entries, though! However Jabba told us during the show that there would be a whole heap next week. I'm guessing Evanescence's new one, Panic! At the Disco, Little Birdy and Basement Jaxx - but you never know! One of the single's I'm looking forward to observing is Gwen Stefani's next single "The Sweet Escape," I predict that'll do really well! Anyway, here are the movers 'n' shakers ;)
Re-entering at #48 - Sandi Thom // What if I'm right? This single has done poorly, and to be honest I think Sandi is a one hit wonder. But if you are a fan of the "punk rocker" then you'll be glad to know her single is still doing well considering it was on top of the charts for what? 10 weeks? It's at #13 this week.
Re-entering at #49 - Sean Paul // Temperature Argh! Sean Paul. I haven't heard much of his next single, but in my opinion his songs last about 2 minutes on my iPod, then I just find his voice annoying and switch him off. Spew!
Chart Creeper at #6 - Nelly Furtado // Say It Right This single started off at a low position of #23, it's been creeping up ever since and I don't think it's at it's peak. Keep buying because I can see this single reaching a possible #3 or #2, yay!
This is the second single off "The Black Parade." I haven't listened to it yet, and I could only find a copy of the video, but as soon as I find a rip of the .mp3 I will post it, hmk? ;) Anyway, you can download the video and I'll quote from Ali's Blog which is where I got this info from! "The video premiered awhile ago, but MTV hasnt shown it till now. So I ripped it for you all, It's there second single off of "The Black Parade" not one of my faves but good song still, the videos ae lil wacky as all there videos are so your probably use to it. anway its a AVI and Ipod Format so make sure you can play them. ENJOy!"
The Veronica's new album is probably going to be coming sooner rather than later, with a few new tracks leaked today, as well as two new tracks which were performed on their tour. There is no official statement that these songs will be on the new album, but who cares! If you're a fan of the Veronnie's then you should enjoy these tracks, they're called What's Going On, World's Apart, All About Us, Everything I Need, Fading and We Are One, and you can download them all in a .zip file just by clicking the link below ;) Enjoy!
EDIT: Here's a little "review" of the tracks; Fading - Sound familiar? It's a cover of Idol winner Kate DaRugo (or whatever, idc!)'s single "Faded" Everything I Need - A slower song, I prefer the more hk, upbeat tracks We Are One - Another slowy, but I like this one better than "Everything I Need" World's Apart - Yep, another slow song. This is a good one though! All About Us - This reminds me of Evanescence, it's dark and different to their normal style - I like it! :D It's mid-tempo, so this one would probably be the pick of the mix. Enjoy!
2. Sinkin' Soon 3. The Sun Doesn't Like You 4. Until The End 5. Not My Friend 6. Thinking About You 7. Broken 8. My Dear Country 9. Wake Me Up 10. Be My Somebody 11. Little Room 12. Rosie's Lullaby 13. Not Too Late
I'm looking forward to this album, Norah is really unique and her music is relaxing. Not to mention this is already doing well on the iTunes albums chart, even though the official release date isn't until January 30. So I guess this album will be a chart-topper (hopefully!) Her first single is "Thinking About You." [Credit to Kevipod Blog]
Woah! Listening to this right now - it's not your average disney-popstar-fake-ness, it's actually really good! Fan of HSM or not - download this! It's extremely sexy...and rnbish, yey!
It was a slow day for news yesterday, but today there's heaps - read everything, don't miss out...
- Lindsay Lohan's third studio album is set to be released this winter, it's said to be self-titled and inspired by Christina Aguilera's "Back to Basics."
- "Babies" will be the first single from "Natasha Bedingfield." Released in April - but it's already been pushed back once so don't get too excited just yet.
- The Red Hot Chilli Peppers have a new single - more specifically, two. People in the UK will get "Desecration Smile" while people in the good old US of A will get "Hump De Bump" as the new single. Australia will probably receive Hump De Bump, but because the album has already peaked, and the last single "Snow (Hey Oh)" flopped, I don't see any other song's doing well. But who knows...
- Madonna's new album will be a hip-hop one with Pharrell Williams (who worked alot with Gwen on her new album). Quote: "We were exclusively informed that Madonna will be recording materials to include on a new album in the USA with Pharrell Williams, while rumoured producer Timbaland is not in the picture. From what we have been told Stuart Price will not be on board as a main producer for this album either, as Madonna really wants to make an American hip-hop album, that will put her in the American mainstream for a change. We have no doubt it's gonna be amazing, but in any case we have been told by our sources that it won't be happening any time soon this year." Should be interesting!
- Erm, if you're a fan of Hanson, then this is some new stuff from t heir new album for March this year, "The Walk." I'm not a Hanson fan, but if you are - download it HERE.
- Finally, we can reveal the first single from High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale. It'll be called.... "He Said She Said!"
Veronica fans will be glad to know that a new album is being whipped up. On their tour they sung a couple of new songs, "Cry" and "Stay." I found a nice copy of Cry, but Stay wouldn't download. Yays, this song is good - make sure you download it below. [Credit to wicked-rixhe-music Blog]
Nicole Richie is set to release an album sometime in the future. No date or any news on what it will be called, however there's a song I grabbed called "Dandelion." Just listening to this song as I type, it's really good! Sure it's a little slow, but I don't think it's computer generated (*cough*Paris*cough*) but regardless it's a nice track. You can download it below! [Credit to Muzic-Lovers Blog]
*New* Gwen Stefani Feat. Akon - The Sweet Escape [Video]
Finally! One of my top favs from her new album! The video just premiered on Yahoo! Music, and it's freaking hot! It has Gwen in a very gold prison, and then a nice repunzel scene before her and Akon go rob a store... sexylicious! In the US of A this song is already creeping up the hot 100 - this is def going to be a huge hit for the ex No Doubt member! Check it out below! :D

High School Musical 2: Sing it all or Nothing! has been confirmed and will start shooting around March. The budget is $7 million and from glancing at the cast list, all HSM 1 cast members are in this one, but I'm sure we'll see a few extras. The following was taken from Wikipedia:
"To stay together as a team during the summer, the East High Wildcats get jobs at the Evans' country club as caddies, bus boys and cooks. Every year the country club puts on a Fourth of July show in which all the club members and employees put on their own acts. Sharpay unites the club members, while the basketball team organizes the employees. The producer, Bill Borden, has confirmed that Troy will kiss Gabriella, and that there will be a musical number that occurs at the swimming pool."
